Maciek Zygmunt bio
Born in Poland.
In 2011 Maciek finished MAGNUM PHOTOS photography workshops in UK (his teacher was Bruce Gilden). In 2014 he has been attending INTERNATIONAL CENTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY workshop in New York City: Documentary Photography for Social Change (his teacher was Beb Reynol).
Finished studies at University of Economics in Krakow (Poland) and in ISCTE Lisbon (Portugal). Attendend photography courses and workshops at Agency of Art Promotion Fototerminal in Krakow and Academy of Photography in Warsaw (1 year Fashion Photography workshop, teachers: Szymon Szczesniak, Radek Polak).
Currently working as freelance photographer and videographer. Focused on social-documentary photography.
Maciek was taking pictures in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
Since 2022 he is working in Ukraine & Poland during ongoing war with Russia. He is doing photography and videography assignments for international NGO's and media. He was documenting conflict zones in Kyiv, Irpin, Bucha and Chernihiv.
